Playoff Structure
Here is potentially how the playoffs will work for divisions 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 on Tuesday nights. We have to make up one week of games that will affect divisions 1 and 2, as well we have lost the service of St. Francis Gym on March 17 which also throws a wrench into scheduling. So here goes.
On March 10 Division 1 and 2 teams that had their games cancelled in February will play this night. NOTE: Not all teams in division 1 and 2 are playing.
On March 10 the first round of the playoffs will begin for divisions 3, 4, and 5. In divisions 3 and 4 all eight teams will play but in division 5 since there are only 7 teams the top team will get a bye to the final week and the remaining 6 teams will play.
On March 17 Division 1 and 2 will have their first round of the playoffs with all eight teams playing and division 3 (the four teams left) will play their final week of the playoffs.
During the week of Spring Break there will be no volleyball but on Tuesday March 31 Divisions 1, 2, 4, and 5 will conclude their playoffs.
Please remember to enter scores as quickly as possible so that I can schedule the next week of games.
The Thursday night playoff schedule will work this way. On March 12, the top four teams in division 6 will have a bye, the remaining 8 teams will play their first round of the playoffs with the winners advancing to the next week. The top four teams and the winners from March 12 will play on the 19 with the four remaining teams playing the final week of the playoffs on April 2.
Tentatively Division 7 playoffs are scheduled as follows. From my truly brilliant scheduling from February 19 there were only 2 teams that did not get to play so on the 12 of March these 2 teams will be playing at 7:00 pm. Then at 8:15 the first round of the playoffs will begin for this division. If all scores are entered on time from the previous weeks I should be able to have those two teams play again at 8:15 with their first playoff game. The top four teams will advance to the final week of the playoffs on March 19.
Any questions????
Make sure to put all nets away after the final game for that evening.
When using St. Francis school, enter the gym through the community doors located by the small parking lot located at the southeast side of the school.
When playing at Glendale school, if you are the last teams playing you must take down the poles and nets and put them away. There is a hockey bag in the equipment storage room that the pink nets go back in. These must be put away every night after we use the school. Also we must be out of the school by 9:30.
